On Monday 3 August 2026 we met at The Pumphouse beside Canning Dock, Liverpool. Sketchbooks range from the tall brick chimney and dockside buildings to boats, a gull and the steam bus. The collection includes drawings in progress and the group throwdown.
About the place
The Pumphouse was built in the 1870s as a hydraulic engine house, with an accumulator tower and chimney. Now a Grade II listed public house, it retains a visible connection to the machinery that once served Liverpool’s docks. Historic England: The Pumphouse.
