On Monday 4 May 2026, we met at Artefact on Roscoe Street. Sketches take in its frontage and interior, the surrounding streets and St Luke’s Church, with studies of the Christmas Truce sculpture and small objects inside the cafe.
About the place
Nearby St Luke’s Church was completed in 1832 and badly damaged during the May Blitz of 1941. The surviving shell is widely known as Liverpool’s Bombed Out Church. Read more about the place.
