On Monday 30 December 2024, we sketched inside The Vines on Lime Street. A hanging light, the bottle shelves behind the bar and an ornate fireplace each became the subject of a separate drawing.

The present pub was built in 1907 for Robert Cain & Sons. Architect Walter W Thomas designed it to replace an earlier pub associated with Albert Vines. About the place.
