On Monday 28 July 2025, we met at Chapters Café in the Sydney Jones Library and took our sketchbooks outside into Abercromby Square. Some of us drew the garden pavilion among the trees. Others picked out the Georgian windows or the two openings in Barbara Hepworth’s sculpture.
About the place
Hepworth made Square with Two Circles in 1964. The bronze stands on a plinth outside the Sydney Jones Library, where the openings frame different views as you walk around it. About the place.
