A Creative Morning at Miles Coffee by Liverpool’s Iconic Cathedral
On March 24, 2025, our Downtown Sketchers family gathered for a vibrant meet-up at Miles Coffee – perfectly nestled beside the magnificent Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ, the biggest Catholic cathedral in the UK. The crisp spring air, combined with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, set the stage for an inspiring day of sketching, conversation, and community.
Sketching with a View
We found ourselves captivated by the dramatic presence of the cathedral, whose modern architecture and rich history provided the perfect muse for our sketches. As artists, we always look for that unique blend of beauty and urban energy, and today was no exception. From intricate details of the cathedral’s façade to the lively scene around Miles Coffee, every moment sparked creativity.
A Day of Connection and Creativity
The meet-up wasn’t just about drawing – it was a celebration of community. Whether you’re an experienced sketcher or just starting out, events like these remind us that art is for everyone. AFter the “throw-down” we shared tips, exchanged ideas, and most importantly, enjoyed the moment together.
