On Monday 10 July 2023, we met at St Nicholas Church. The bell, stained glass, arches and fittings gave us subjects at very different scales, from a single cross to a view through the nave.
About the place
The church beside the waterfront was severely damaged during the Second World War. The rebuilt church was consecrated in 1952, with the surviving tower retaining its place on the skyline. About the place.
