On Monday 19 June 2023, we met in St James Gardens below Liverpool Cathedral. Several sketchbooks turn towards the round Huskisson monument, showing the steps, trees and stonework from different sides.

The gardens occupy a former sandstone quarry. Its cut rock faces became part of the layout of St James’s Cemetery, with ramps connecting the quarry floor and the surrounding ground. About the place.
