A weekly Monday urban sketch meet up with Downtown Sketchers in Liverpool
On Monday 24 November 2025, we met at Mathew Street Records in Cavern Walks. Record shelves, flowers, portraits and street views supplied a mix of subjects, followed by a collection of the finished sketches on the table.
On Monday 17 November 2025, we returned to the Ship & Mitre on Dale Street. The pub frontage, bar, lamps and fellow sketchers appear in the work, with photographs showing drawings and watercolours taking shape before the throwdown.
On Monday 10 November 2025, we sketched at the FACT cafe on Wood Street. The building, cinema entrance, nearby street corners and objects inside became subjects for pencil, ink and watercolour studies.
On Monday 3 November 2025, we met at The Brunch & Cocktail Club on Duke Street. Flowers, cups, glasses, fellow sketchers and nearby buildings appear across the pencil drawings, ink studies and watercolours.
On Monday 27 October 2025, we sketched at Albert’s Schloss on Bold Street. The bar, signs, furniture and decorative details were drawn alongside street views, with photographs of sketchbooks being worked on at the tables.
On Monday 20 October 2025, we met at Exchange Station on Tithebarn Street. The frontage and clock, nearby buildings, indoor plants and fellow sketchers filled the sketchbooks before our throwdown.
On Monday 13 October 2025, we sketched at the Municipal Hotel on Dale Street. Palms, decorative objects and figures appear alongside drawings and watercolours of the building and its clock tower.
On Monday 6 October 2025, we met at the Shakespeare in Williamson Square. Sketches of the Playhouse and St John’s Beacon sit beside flowers, figures and views across the square, gathered for a table-top throwdown.
On Monday 29 September 2025, we met at Brasco Lounge on Mann Island and sketched the Spanish galleon and Liverpool waterfront. Masts, rigging, dockside buildings and the skyline appear in ink drawings and watercolours.
